The Gladiator

A word about The Gladiator (CityMini by BabyJogger): it's a priceless piece of gear lent to us for free by great friends, Alli & Chad Kahl, who, as soon as we told them of this adventure, said that we must borrow their stroller (and GPS!). They had previously road-tested it and used it while living in Italy with Carynn, their older daughter & Colin's playmate who is about the same age. It opens and folds up by grabbing the handle in the seat...easy peasy. We even had a German mommy ask us about it as she looked on while we folded it up going into a restaurant, saying it was "pretty cool"! We were thankful for it from day 1!
Post-flight, day 1
It lays all the way back, the canopy comes all the way over to shield the sun from any angle, the wheels have no problem with cobblestone streets of Europe, and there's a basket underneath for stashing more gear. Yup, all the features and benefits a kid and parents traveling the globe could want!

It has been Colin's home away from home. It's allowed us to stay out way past bedtime and have very pleasant dinners with him asleep in there. It's taken Colin on escalators, subways, trains, trams, as well as handled terrain going up mountains to see castles and all over Europe's cobblestoned cities throughout Germany, Italy, and France, and Prague, Czech Republic.

Thanks again, Kahl's!
